Just one question though. Have you made writing this blog as your profession or do you do this in your spare time?

Thanks for reading Vi. Drug studies are a huge cost of getting an approval on new medications and treatments but if there were more volunteers and the studies could be filled more quickly it could help cut the cost of development.

I am so glad that research has helped your husband. I'm sure that experience was an eye opener. You have taken such a positive response to the event that you are inspiration to others who face similar problems. Keep up the good work and take care of yourself as well.

What a great post Kathy, thanks. I didn't know that drug studies reduced the price of drugs. It's good to hear that you are optimistic regarding the future of health care here in the US. All the news about the government's attempts to socialize medicine is frightening.

I hear you when you write about folks often needing drugs who never expected to have to take them. My husband now relies on drugs after he suffered an unexpected heart attack 2 years ago. Prior to that he'd never taken anything but Tylenol sinus. We are eternally grateful for the drug research that's been done in the field of cardiology.
